devastation

The wife in me is so disappointed that Oprah is ending her television show. What will I do in 2011 from 12:48-1:48AM. She was my bedtime story.

educated.

I just got my acceptance letter that I am (in one month) an official college graduate. The last time that I didn't have to go to school I was five so this is a really big deal. Oh yes and husband is graduating too! I hope this last month doesn't kill us. We are suffering terribly from senioritis. Oh and for more scary news I am running in a marathon with brothers in Vegas in two weeks. They are so fast. I'm just hoping I finish. I need prayers.

mission accomplished

I finally got husband to go to a ballet with me. It only took an ice cream bribery (of course i took it). And just being honest I don't think I am the only one who enjoyed it.

updates

Well its almost October and this happened in August but lake powell is a worthy mention. Besides almost catching the place on fire (I see why fire works are typically illegal now :/) we had a fantastic time. Oh and I tried slalom skiing for the first time and although I think it is for old people I really did enjoy it.

For another worthy mention I turned twenty-two In September. I feel like I'm getting old really quickly. Husband took me to phoenix and we went to the zoo. I love giraffes. We went to the Melting Pot for dinner. It just so happens to be my favorite restaurant. We haven't been since the night we got engaged. And everything I have ate since then just doesn't taste as good. Thanks husband for the wonderful birthday. Oh yes and it was a delight to see molly in another state. I hope we keep up the same travel plans forever.

coeur d'alene

Ironically enough mine and husbands parents both have vacation homes in the tip of idaho. We make a trip out there every summer when both of the parentals are in town. We spend most of out time out on the lake. This year we went with my family and did a 25 mile (all down hill) bike ride into montana. The trail was breath taking it led us through tunnels, bridges, and next to waterfalls. We had lights on our bike to get us through mile long black tunnels. The squirrels kept us company and were more than willing to help us finish our snacks.

idaho falls

Husband and I went to Idaho falls in the beginning of August. We had a wonderful family reunion. I'm behind on blogging and because there is not much to say about Idaho Falls I think I will just keep it at that. Oh yes and we found some delicious peaches on the side of the road. Here we are with husbands mom and mark victor hansen.

caves

The other day we hiked to the mt. timp caves. It was incredible and totally worth it. We went with Husbands family. It is a gorgeous hike that leads into these unbelievable caves. The caves are about 45 degrees. We love having family near by. Doubling your family when you get married or in my case tripling is sweet. We all went canoeing down the provo river the next day. All was good until we tipped over. I was a wreck when the water is near freezing my sandals are floating down the river. Thank goodness for husbands.

Happy Birthday

London turned one today. We couldn't be more proud. We celebrated by going to the park, swimming with the ducks, picking out her favorite treat at petco, and then I got her a card that I let her shred to pieces, and she might have a play date tonight with Winston. She knows 17 commands and phrases. When we got her she was half a pound and now weighs a whopping three pounds. We love our little girl. (I just try not to think about the four thousand dollars she has cost this year ugh) Thank you sir chocolate brown and justeen for giving us our fabulous doghter.

love and babies

I typically put up upcoming events on my fridge. It helps me not forget as easy. I went to the mail box this week and felt overwhelmed. August is going to bring lots of weddings and babies. And not mention gift buying. I am excited to celebrate all the upcoming love.

confession

So when we leave the house we keep the TV on for london. She is the biggest couch potato. She prefers to watch the Disney Channel. She cant take her eyes of it (sometimes she won't even realize we have come home) For about the last year or more I have been rather disappointed with my typical E and MTV that I have wasted much of my life watching so I turned to animal planet and the news. Well lately I have noticed that when I come home to find London watching Disney I don't change the channel. Husband doesn't complain either. Ever since we have been dating husband and I have had a constant battle over the remote. We finally got two remotes so we can both feel a sense of satisfaction. We have come to realize more me than husband that we really enjoy watching Disney. It is so light hearted its hard to go back to anything else. Thank you to wizards of a waverly place and miss hannah montana.

saint george

Husband and I went to st. george last weekend. I hosted a golf tournament which turned out to be a success. I was really nervous. When ever someone puts me in charge it can be a little sketchy. I am doing my internship this summer with the boys & girls club. For the last few years Lavell Edwards has put on a golf tournament and all the proceeds went to the club. Lavell did a little speech then we did a live and silent auction that went really well. I am so pleased with how much money we racked up. They put husband and I in a lavish hotel for the two nights. Oh yeah and took our 4 wheelers down and played a lot when I wasn't working. We are so thankful for our life and in-n-out.

Arizona.

I'm pretty sure I could live in Arizona. It just suits my fancy. We went last weekend to visit husbands family. We had a terribly fun time. We love going to all the shops and restaurants. I'm pretty sure husband and I gained a combined weight of 14 pounds. Yuck. Anyway we went to Kelly's (husbands sister) dance recital. She knocked em dead. After she went to prom and looked absolutely stunning. We also got to meet Dean Graziosi and Mark Victor Hansen and watched some of the behind the scenes in TV productions. Oh yes and we might just be embarking on a new business venture. More on that later..

This is who I cuddle with when husband is missing and London is in another state. She has a more drool then husband and london combined :)

congradulations.

Brother graduated from college. We are proud of him. He gets to grow up now and do really big things with his life. We decided a few years ago we didn't really want to get to this point (the growing up part) but I'm happy he is. President Monson spoke at the graduation which was touching. One girl passed out during the speech and dropped to the floor. I guess the spirit really moved her. Or maybe just the swine flu got the best of her. Anyway, grades just came out and I got all A's again this semester. Oh, and I am still not my parents favorite. I really don't get it.
Thanks husband for taking me to supercross. An arena full of motorcycles is how he envisions heaven to be. Maybe we can go to a ballet next weekend...

ruff day

Little London LouLou had a really hard day on Tuesday. We debated back and forth and decided it was time. We took her womanhood away. We thought that since she was going under we would have another little surgery and have them implant a microchip. We can now locate her at all times. Oh yes, and we got her nails clipped while she was out. She hates when we try. In fact fights it with her life. We have even bought that pedi-paws off the infomericals. You know how the dogs willingly give them their paws and smile while it happens. Surprise it doesn't work like that. She flops around and has a puppy tantrum. Well an hour into her surgery I get a call from the vet. They want to remove her four baby teeth. We were very aware that she has too many teeth. London resembles a shark. It made her look tough though. Anyway I guess it can be a problem later on. So we got her four teeth removed. Well, we went to pick her up that evening and it was heartbreaking. She was so drugged up. Stumbling back and forth and drooling everywhere. We took her home but it hurt for her to lay down. She was exhausted so she was trying to sleep standing up. Every few seconds her body would give out and she would fall over. I'm sorry puppy. We love you.

please.

For my PR Firm class at school I chose to work with the boys & girls club of utah county. They are an incredible nonprofit organization. Tonight I am hosting a benefit night at comedy sportz. It's a comedy club 36 W. Center Street. Only 10 dollars. All of the proceeds are going to the club. You can buy your tickets here http://www.comedysportzutah.com/ or at the door. Come and laugh. It is a really good cause. See you there...

Moab

For Easter husband and I went to Moab Utah. It's a beautiful small town with mediocre restaurants and mediocre stores. It was jeep safari week in Moab. All the crazy off roaders get together and leaves their brains at home. They go down deadly trails and everyone watches for entertainment. We planned a camping getaway but with question of rain and a little laziness we went for plan B a hotel. We ended up getting good weather. We packed up lots of husbands favorite toys and had a fabulous time.

The love/hate relationship I have with the unimog.

My cute family. Who knew London would be so good at the outdoors.

love story.

I am sure of it. I have the best husband in the world. I had a hot date saturday night that spoiled me. First we went to Color Me Mine. Its a fun ceramic store that you can paint and decorate. We are proud owners of lovely dog dishes.
Then he made me a steak dinner. I made the salad. The steaks were so big. But don't worry we finished them with ease. So delicious.

And to top it off we went to the movies and saw I Love You, Man. So funny. Best comedy I have seen in a while. (just don't go with your parents)

Separation Anxiety

I didn't know it was possible that a dog could get separation anxiety. London has a bad case of it. If i am home she has to be touching me. The closer to my face the better she feels. She just about dies when I take a bath. She has attempted twice getting in with me. She wines and moans when I am somewhere she cannot reach. I think it is time for London to get a boyfriend. Charlie across the street seems like a good match. She has a thing for big dogs.

Growing Up

Brother and Sister Weekes got a new calling. They placed us in Primary. This means 5 and 6 years old. I'm terrified. Husband will do great. We start this Sunday. We plan to win their love with really cool lessons and candy of course.

Addiction

I was doing some spring cleaning while complaining to husband how we need to get rid of our mini fridge in the office. It takes up so much space and I thought we never used it. He was avoiding the topic which was unusual. I opened the fridge and found husbands addiction. I thought he was getting better. The fridge stacked with cheap energy drinks. The man is hooked. I love you but you need to lay off.

MOM <3

Mom came to visit and we did all the important things:

*shopping

*movies

*eating eating and more eating

Thanks for the fabulous weekend.

peace on earth

So husband and I were at the store the other day and found this: FAVEREDS.
Starburst came out with a candy with all the best red flavors. I have been talking about this advancement in history since I could talk. Honestly. Strawberry, fruit punch, cherry, and watermelon. The fighting has stopped. We can eat candy and share in peace. No more lemon and orange (sorry mom) Thank you.

rip allison

On the way to school today husband and I walked outside to find our car was broken into. They stole allison (husbands new GPS). We have a hunch that they left sooner then they were expecting. Luckily they did not take anything else. There wasn't much else except a pair of nice sunglasses and a stereo. We will miss you allison.

oh brother.

Brother came into town this week. We did some really fun things and some not so glamorous things.
The best parts of the week:
1. hanging out with brother(s)

2. Making Dogpiles (with the dog)

3. Snowboarding

4. Throwing a "fake" birthday party for Chandler. Having a pinata -nobody has to know its not your birthday :)

And the not so glamorous parts of the week:

1. Putting fake tattoos (the tramp stamp) on me, husband, brothers, and brothers friends. I'm choosing not to post the image.

2. And the not so good, very bad day

Thumbs down

sounds fishy.

Husband and I went to the aquarium. Husband loves fish so we couldn’t resist. We have fish at home (brookefish & prestonfish) but I think its time to upgrade with more. The octopus was our favorite we currently are on a search for one that can live with us. It took husband a long time before he got brave and touched the stingrays. He had to watch me do it first.

Eek.

This is the start of our family blog. The pressure to confrom was almost too much.

The kids. Husband and London. I give them

I love my little family.
