I died a little bit inside when I heard the news. I console myself by remembering that she will be in syndication forever and has 25 seasons to keep me entertained. Seriously, I love Oprah! I think I've only seen a couple seasons consistently though, so I have lots of catching up to do!
Horrible news. I actually wanted to blog about this same thing. haha. My mom announced the news at the dinner table. My super racist, right winged father said, "Oh how terrible it will be with out Oprah making everyone feeling sorry for themselves..." And I said, "I know, right? I'm so excited for that piece of crap to stop encouraging and empowering women all over the country, being a voice for rape victims, sharing books worth reading, inspiring people with real-life and life-changing inspiring stories that make you want to be a better mother, wife, friend, co-worker, stranger, etc...... It's about time that bitch retires."
